Restoration of a large porcelain shield Cappodimonte

This large porcelain shield of the Italian brand Cappodimonte pressed porcelain had been restored thirty years ago, where the various amalgam of glue and traces of paint.

Before starting the restoration, it was necessary to locate them and remove them in order to leave again on pieces of clean china. The surprise in this kind of operation as here is lack in the number of pieces.

A fair cleaned all, we glue, we reconstruct the missing pieces and then retouches background and color to restore the original decor very complete.

Restored contemporary pottery

This beautiful cup very elegant is a unique piece where the interest of its restoration.

The big difficulty for all these modern pieces is the allometric side of color. Enamels often reserve a few surprises that must be known in the restoration and finishing.

This past difficulty, the rendering can be invisible more easily than on a very fine porcelain for example.
