The making
All doll clothes made in the workshop are unique, bespoke designs created in partnership with the doll's owner.
After choosing the model and making a sketch, we choose the material. I have in stock many old and contemporary fabrics as well as lace but we can perfectly imagine a suit with your own fabrics. This sometimes gives the opportunity to use old laces kept in the bottom of a drawer or silk dress very pretty but too small that you had discovered at the bottom of the family loft.
I try to respect the dress codes related to an era but other criteria can come into play: the decoration of a room, the tastes, the memories and the desires of the customers.
No garment except some of the mignonnettes is sewn directly on the doll. You can dress and undress your doll according to the seasons.
If you have a doll restoration project that includes making a garment, do not hesitate to tell me about your ideas.
