This old automaton automaton had the chance to have kept all its original elements. Time having done its work, they were not always in good condition. The silk ribbons were figurative being on the edge of the dust, a lot of dust on the silk clothes, the hat and the hair had disappeared.

I started the work by anlyser what could be kept and what would continue to be destroyed. After a delicate cleaning of the separated elements, the majority of the elements of costume could be preserved except for the ribbons.

After the reassembly on the automaton, it was necessary to remake a wig in mohair and a hat according to a model in black and white preserved in the catalog of origin of Lambert.
